Annoying Things Said To Me About Having An Only Child

One of my daughter's clay masterpieces I've been a mother of one (yes, one child), to a bright and beautiful daughter, for ten years. In all that time, I've heard countless of unsolicited (and mostly, irritating) comments and advice on why I should have another child. I'm currently pregnant, in the first trimester, with our second child. That said, I decided to write a post about the things told to me over the years for having an only child. First off, having an only child was a matter of choice for me and my husband. We talked about it a few years ago and we were both in agreement that one is enough for us. People, however, don't seem to understand that and can't accept it. No matter how much I tried to explain the reason for us having an only child, it seems like I'm doing something wrong personally for not considering having a second child. These are the things said to me by people over the years: 1) It's pitiful that my daughter ...

When in Baguio: Arca's Yard

One Sunday afternoon when all I wanted to do was catch up on sleep, my hubbie kept on asking me to go out for dinner. Feeling resigned, I got up and took a shower. I'm glad I did because we ended up having a nice family dinner at Arca's Yard. What the hell is Arca's Yard, you might ask? Well, Arca's Yard is a café museum and mini library located at Tiptop, Ambuklao Road in Baguio City. It has a collection of books, photographs, paintings, artifacts like wooden spoons and spears, and wood bust carvings among others. The café is located in a very high place, meaning the view in their terraces are to die for. Going there is very easy, if you don't mind the somewhat narrow road (in my mind, at least) and the many road constructions that goes there for the time being. The directions can easily be found in your phone's Maps if you have it in your phone. But otherwise, you can find it here .

All Bundled Up!

As we are experiencing some weather change patterns, it was exceedingly cold this morning before my daughter went to school after having their class suspended yesterday. As a matter of fact, it is still bitingly cold up to now.

Kiss Mud Foam and Snail White Cream Review

Kiss Mud Foam and Snail White Cream from Shadz Online Shop I was not into foreign products unknown to me. I mostly used the more popular brands that we do have on our supermarkets and beauty shops here in the country with international brand names like Olay and Dove.  A friend of mine recommended Shadz Online Shop to me a few years back. I quickly checked their products and prices noticing as I did so that they are quite expensive. But still, I was interested since they are Japanese products and was described as very mild. I have fairly sensitive skin so I mostly used mild products like Olay, Dove and others.

Microtel Baguio - Hotel Review

Way back in September 2014, me with my husband and our daughter decided to go Baguio. Nothing spectacular, just wanting to get out our house for awhile and see some different sights. Having arrived early in the evening and no idea about accommodations whatsoever, we decided to check out this hotel located conveniently very close to the bus terminal. Microtel is just a short walk from the bus terminal. It was a very nice hotel with such nice rooms as seen below.

About Me

Welcome to my blog! As it happens this is not the first time I've had a blog. I tried the paid kind a year or so ago, wasn't able to maintain that as I've got things that got in the way. So for now, I'm taking a free blog which I hope will be easier to maintain. I'm Lesley Anne but I mostly preferred to be called Anne. The reason is that somehow, people have a hard time pronouncing "Lesley" as long as I can remember so to simplify, it's Anne. I'm a mother of one, my unica hija, Keirah Julianne, is now in Grade 4 - time flies! I'm a mother, a virtual assistant, a WAHM, what else...I love cooking, browsing the net, printing tons of worksheets for my daughter off the web, shopping, books, bags, etc. The usual things gurls like, I guess.
